I have happy feet when I dance, and it has never been so true as with the Central Coast Follies. I am learning so much and enjoying it all, and proud to be raising funds for two great causes. I want to thank my supportive husband for putting up with my exuberance another year!

This is my 7th year dancing with the Follies and I am still having SO MUCH FUN! It is a privilege to perform on stage with this amazing group of dancers, singers, and choreographers who express their joy through music and dance while raising money for two remarkable organizations.

Life is too short to waste time not doing what you really love to do, and I really LOVE dancing with the Follies. I started 12 years ago helping backstage when my daughter was in the show and was so inspired by Jason and the Follies I took up tap dancing with the original Taptastic group. This will be my 6th year happily tapping away!
Claudia Hartman
Claudia Hartman
This is Claudia’s seventh year with the Follies and it continues to be an amazing experience. She is honored to be dancing and singing in this annual fundraiser for such a worthy cause. A big thank you to the audience for coming, both those new to the Follies and those who return year after year. You make it happen!

I’m so happy to be returning to the Follies for my 12th year. There are so many kind and talented ladies who are dedicated to making the Follies a huge success. We thank all of you for coming and your participation in the goal of finding a cure for Parkinson’s. We hope you enjoy the show.

Like all of us, I have many jobs and roles - mom, wife, florist, teacher, but the Follies provide a “time out” from the everyday; and that's what makes it special. Our love of dance is obvious as we are all channeling our inner Ginger and/or Fred. However, this year I am leaning more towards Curly! He definitely makes an appearance.
Gabriella Schrader

Originally from Switzerland, she came to San Luis Obispo twenty years ago, and loves how dancing has enriched her life and given her an outlet for her boundless energy. A heartfelt thank you to our audience in support of Parkinson’s disease and our local Food Bank!

Taking that first step into the Follies dance studio, seven years ago, was pretty scary. But the Follies welcomed me with open arms even though I didn’t have an ounce of dance experience. The journey has been wonderful. Dancing on stage has been a total out of the box experience for me, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’m still having fun dancing and learning and meeting so many wonderful people. Thank you Follies and thank you, Jason, for being the rock, the foundation of the Follies. You are appreciated more than you know. And thank you to my family for being supportive of this adventure these past seven years!

Dancing has been Laurina’s love since she was little. Her dad, a choreographer of shows and films in the 1900’s sparked her passion. Her other love is teaching second graders in Santa Maria. She especially has liked having her son, Matthew, participating as the show’s photographer for the past eight years. She thanks Jason and Colleen for teaching her so much about dance.

Childhood dreams of dancing on Broadway were dashed in an instant. But what seemed tragic at the time presented opportunities for new dreams: career, marriage, children...and, in retirement, supporting worthy causes and dancing again! Thank you, everyone in the Follies, for making my dreams of performing onstage come true!!!

I was born and raised in Spain and moved to the USA in 1988. I teach Spanish at Mission College Preparatory and Cal Poly. I have two daughters. I love living on the central coast. I go every summer to Spain to see my family and to make sure that I don’t lose my accent. This is my second year dancing with the follies.
